Privacy Policy

Introduction

The Content Club Consulting Ltd (“we”, “our”, “us”) is committed to respecting and protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, store, and safeguard your personal information when you interact with our website, join The Content Club, or participate in our community. By becoming a member or using our services, you agree to the practices outlined here, together with any updates made over time.

Information We Collect

When you use our website or join the community, we collect information you provide such as your name, email address, business details, social media profiles, and any information you share during onboarding or participation. Payment data is handled securely through Stripe; we never access or store your full payment details.

We also collect usage data to understand how you engage with the platform, including login activity, session attendance, content you submit, and interactions within the community. Because The Content Club is a collaborative, support-driven environment, we may also collect and store user-generated content such as posts, questions, submissions, and contributions made during live sessions.

How We Process and Store Data

To deliver our services, your data may be processed through platforms we use, including Stripe for payments, Circle for community hosting, Zoom for live and recorded sessions, Google Drive for resource storage, and email platforms for communication. Each of these providers maintains its own GDPR-compliant standards.

How We Use Your Data

We use your information to administer your membership, provide access to content, support coaching and accountability processes, improve the member experience, and communicate updates and relevant information. Your data also helps us understand community outcomes. For example, we may share anonymised statistics about member results, but identifiable stories or testimonials are only published with your written consent.

Recording and Live Sessions

We record workshops, coaching calls, and live sessions to make them available on replay for members. By attending live sessions, you may appear in these recordings. If you wish not to be visible or identifiable, you may turn off your camera or microphone or notify us in writing so we can anonymise your contribution where reasonable.

Legal Basis for Processing

We process personal data on several lawful bases: to fulfil your membership contract, to further our legitimate interest in improving services and member accountability, to comply with legal obligations such as financial reporting, and, in cases such as marketing or testimonial use, with your explicit consent.

Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your information. We may share data with trusted service providers, including Stripe, Circle, Zoom, Google Drive, and email hosting services, solely for the purpose of delivering our services. We may share information with regulatory or legal authorities if required to do so.

Security Measures

We use secure technologies, access controls, and review processes designed to protect your information from misuse, unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure. We continuously monitor compliance with UK GDPR and ICO expectations.

Data Retention

We retain personal data for as long as necessary to administer your membership. Member data is typically retained for up to twelve months after cancellation unless required longer for legal or accounting reasons. Certain billing records may be stored for up to six years for HMRC compliance. After retention periods expire, data is deleted or anonymised.

Your Rights Under GDPR

You have rights over your personal data, including access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, objection to processing, portability, and the ability to withdraw consent for marketing. If you wish to exercise any of these rights, please email jack@the-content-club.co.uk.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We may use cookies and tracking technology to improve site performance and analyse how visitors use our website. You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings, and further details are outlined in our Cookie Policy.

External Websites

Our website or community content may include links to external websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content on external sites and recommend reviewing their policies directly.

International Transfers

Some third-party platforms we use may store data outside the UK. We only work with providers that meet recognised GDPR adequacy standards or equivalent safeguards.

Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Any updates will be shared on this page and, where appropriate, communicated to members directly. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes.
