Payment information. When you pay for membership, Stripe processes your card details on our behalf. We receive confirmation of payment and limited details (last four digits of your card, billing name and postcode) but never your full card number.
Cookies and website usage. See our Cookie Policy for the details.

5. The application process
If you apply to join The Content Club, we use your application to assess whether you’re the right fit. Jack personally reviews every application.
If your application is successful and you join, your data is retained under the membership terms below.
If your application is unsuccessful, or you don’t complete the process within 90 days, we delete your application data unless you have asked to stay in touch or on the waitlist. If you’re on the waitlist, we keep your details until you unsubscribe.
6. Recording and live sessions
We record workshops, coaching calls, and live sessions so members can watch them back later. This is part of the membership benefit.
Lawful basis: performance of our contract with you (for members) and our legitimate interest in delivering the community benefit as promoted (for occasional guests).
If you don’t want to appear in a recording, you can turn off your camera and microphone during the session. If you want your contribution removed from a recording after the fact, email info@the-content-club.co.uk and we’ll edit or anonymise it where reasonably possible.
7. Marketing and email communications
We send our newsletter to people who have subscribed to it, and marketing updates to applicants and members who have opted in.
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link at the bottom of every email, or by emailing info@the-content-club.co.uk. We will always send you service messages related to your membership even if you have opted out of marketing.
8. International transfers
Some of our service providers are based outside the UK, primarily in the US (Kit, Stripe, Zoom, Calendly, Senja, and Google). Where your data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on one of the following safeguards:
- The UK’s own adequacy decision for the country in question, where one exists (including the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, for certified US providers).
- Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the ICO, where no adequacy decision applies.
You can request a copy of the safeguards in place for any specific transfer by emailing info@the-content-club.co.uk.
9. How long we keep your data
Applicant data (unsuccessful applications): deleted after 90 days.
Waitlist data: kept until you unsubscribe.
Newsletter subscribers: kept until you unsubscribe.
Member data: kept for the duration of your membership and for up to 12 months after cancellation, in case you want to rejoin.
Payment and accounting records: kept for 6 years from the end of the relevant accounting period, as required by HMRC.
Session recordings: kept for as long as they remain relevant to the community’s learning library. Members can request removal of their own contributions at any time.
After each retention period ends, we delete or anonymise the data.
10. How we protect your data
We use technical and organisational measures to keep your data secure, including access controls, encryption in transit, and careful selection of processors who meet UK GDPR standards. No system is completely secure, but we review our processes regularly and act quickly if we become aware of a breach.
If a breach happens that puts your rights or freedoms at risk, we will notify the ICO within 72 hours and inform you directly where required by law.
11. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the following rights:
- Access — ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.

To exercise any of these, email info@the-content-club.co.uk. We will respond within one month. In some cases we may need to verify your identity before we can act, and we may extend the deadline by up to two months for complex requests, in which case we will explain why.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
